Copy Cat Caramel Frappe + A GIVEAWAY!

One of my favorite guilty pleasures comes in the form of a McDonald’s Caramel Frappe. I know, I know…of all the places I could get a caramel frappe, and I chose McDonald’s. There is just something about the way they taste that makes me happy. However, since the onset of all of the craziness that has taken over the world since March, visiting Mickey D’s, or any restaurant for that matter, just hasn’t been high on my list of things to do. But, I still wanted my caramel frappe, so when my monthly shipment of coffee showed up, and it contained Friendly’s Caramel Swirl Ice Cream Flavored Coffee, my Copy Cat Caramel Frappe Recipe was born!

First, let me tell you a bit about the coffee portion, and also let you know that I am giving away a 40ct box of your choice of Friendly’s Ice Cream Coffee!! Okay, back to that in just a little bit. Anyway, this coffee is great! It has a sweet caramel scent that fills the air as it is brewing, and has a slight caramel vanilla shot that comes through right at the end, making this a perfect dessert coffee, or in my case the perfect coffee for adding to my Copt Cat Caramel Frappe recipe!

These k-cups are made with 100% Arabica beans and are slow-roasted for optimal flavor, and minimal bitterness. I have come to learn that slow-roasting coffee beans can make a HUGE difference in the final taste of coffee, so believe me when I say do your research on the beans you use! Ok, now onto the recipe!!

Shandi’s Copy Cat Caramel Frappe Recipe!

1 cup strong brewed Friendly’s Caramel Swirl Ice Cream Flavored Coffee
2 cups of ice cubes
3 scoops vanilla ice cream
2 Tbsp caramel sauce + more for glass

Put everything together in a blender (I used my single-serve cup for my Ninja Blender), blend together until smooth (add more ice if needed). In whatever glass you want to use, squirt some caramel sauce on the wall of the glass, then pour your caramel frappe mixture into the glass. Top with whipped cream, and a drizzle more caramel sauce.

I tested the recipe out on my kids, and they all agreed that this was the best Copy Cat Caramel Frappe recipe they had ever tasted. In fact, when I let them try it, they thought daddy had gone to McDonald’s! They were excited to find out that this was my own recipe!
