Durango; why it’s not your average SUV

SUV’s come a dime a dozen these days, and for the most part, they are all similar in structure and features. However, every once in a while you come across an SUV that has more to offer than you expect. For 2018, that seems to be the Dodge Durango Citadel.

This SUV has a 3.6L V6 24V engine, with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and is a beauty both inside and out. It comes equipped with Lane Departure Warning, Advanced Brake Assist, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control w/Stop Blind Spot & Cross Path Detection.

The airbag setup includes front driver and passenger, knee, front and rear head, and front side bags, as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-row curtain airbags. Dodge definitely had safety in mind when designing this model. In addition, the Durango comes with a heated steering wheel, and heated seats. Talk about comfort!

Whats more, both the driver and the passenger have a 12-Way Power Seat, inc: Power Recline, Height Adjustment, Fore/Aft Movement, Cushion Tilt, and Power 4-Way Lumbar Support. Now I don’t know about you, but I am glad that car seats are getting upgrades. Not everyone is shaped the same, so we should be able to adjust the seats to conform to each individual body.

Dodge took no shortcuts in the design aspect of this SUV. The Durango screams luxury. Just take a look at the interior design of this beauty that is available at the Don Vance Dealership.

There is plenty of leg room in this SUV, and an entertainment system that will keep the kids content during long car rides. It comes with Uconnect w/Bluetooth Wireless Phone Connectivity, and Apple CarPlay, and Google Android Auto.

Don’t forget the accessibility features. You get a keyless entry with Trunk/Hatch/Tailgate, Windows and Remote Engine Start. That’s perfect, especially if you are wrestling with an arm full of kiddos or goods! Not to mention the winter applications of being able to warm up the car before heading out.

All in all, Dodge one-upped themselves with the 2018 Dodge Durango Citadel. They combined the towing, hauling, and engine of the standard SUV, and slapped a little luxury into the mix. This is definitely a vehicle to consider if you are in the market for a new SUV.

Be sure to head to your local Dodge Dealership and take a look at all that the Dodge Durango Citadel has to offer. Don’t forget to take it for a test drive! You won’t be disappointed!
