Holiday Card Making; A fun weekend Christmas Project!

*This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Designbundles.net*

We are 10 days and counting from Christmas, and if you are like most folks, you are making sure that you are getting last-minute things together; This usually includes holiday and Christmas cards. However, not everyone likes to buy their cards, opting to make them instead. If you are into card making, you are going to love this post!

There are tons of ways to make a great card, no matter the occasion, but something about Christmas and the holidays bring out the sparkle in people, and they love to show it in their card designs. I found a great resource for Christmas and holiday card making, that has a TON of design styles, and I went through and picked my top 5 favorite designs!

I especially love these because they are great for a weekend project that even the kids can get in on! So if you are a crafter, DIYer, or just want to try your hand at something new this year, this is for you!

I love the simplicity of this one, and that it can easily be embellished so that no two cards are exactly the same; this would be a perfect one for the kids! It should be noted of course, that you will need access to a cut machine for these, but oftentimes your local library will have a machine you can use, or your local craft store!

This next one is for my SteamPunks! I have lots of friends that would take great pleasure in receiving this card, and while it is on the more technical side of card making, it really is a beautiful piece of work. I like how detailed the card is; it has all the elements of Christmas, but with a little more uniqueness than your average card.

The next two are similar in design, but I absolutely LOVE black and gold. They are classic yet modern and have an air of sophistication. The gold reminds me of the classic soft lights that many people love to adorn their homes and trees with. They are peaceful and calm, and something that many people are drawn to.

The Christmas Tree in this one really speaks to me. I love the sparkle that the gold gives this card while being classic in design with the tree and stars; I think I will be making this one for sure!

Lastly, although honestly, there are still a plethora of designs to choose from, I like this very traditional Nativity Scene card. This would be the ideal design for your loved ones that treasure the Nativity Story. The dark nativity scene against the shades of purple that clearly represent the twilight, coupled with the cutouts of the night sky and stars, really brings this card design together.

Want to do more than just card making? You can find a great selection of SVGS as well, and they are all compatible with Cricut, Silhouette, SCAL, Scan N Cut, and all major design programs. You can make this holiday season a crafter dream come true! Additionally, handmade gifts are big this season, and with both the card making and the SVGS, you have the ability to create any number of gifts for friends and family.

The fun doesn’t have to stop with the holidays, though. Card-making and creating things can happen year-round, and you can find all the best designs and SVG files, for any occasion at DeisgnBundles.net.
