How I am Hitting My Fitness Goals in the New Year, with Noom

Last year I started a health and wellness program called Noom. Admittedly, I thought it would be like every other weight loss program, but I still wanted to give it the old college try.

Honestly, I am glad that I did. Noom is NOTHING like the other weight loss programs out there. Mainly because it isn’t a program that tells you what to eat, when to eat it, and makes you go on crazy restrictive diets.

Instead, Noom is a health and wellness program focusing on the way you THINK about weight loss. A program that helps you figure out what your goals are, and how to think about them in a way that works for YOUR life.

Yes, you do track your calories in the app, and Noom lets you know what zone each thing you eat is in, and also how many calories you have left, or have gone over for a particular day. However, the biggest part (for me anyway) is the accountability of the program.

Each day you are given a new tidbit of information about your body, your brain, the connection between those and weight loss; and every so often you are quizzed on the information you have retained.

I never thought that a psychology-based weight loss program would work, but in changing the way you think about your habits and daily behavior, things happen…good things, VERY good things. With the right attitude, you can lose weight forever with Noom

That’s why I am re-committing myself to Noom this year, and crushing my weight loss goals. Because a 35 lb weight loss, the SAFE way, just in time for summer vacation to start, makes this mama very happy…happy and healthy mama equals happy kids!
