There has been a lot of talk about Hybrid cars over the last few years; are they really worth it? Do they really save you money AND do their part for the environment? Let’s take a look!
The 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Blue Hatchback looks to be a good option; But how does it stack up against the competition?
For starters, the Ioniq has a 1.6L I-4 Cyl motor and a 6-Speed ECOSHIFT Dual Clutch and is Front Wheel Drive. Now I am not going to lie, I had to search to find out exactly what a dual clutch was. Here is what I learned, in a nutshell; a dual clutch means that this vehicle has two clutches. One manages the odd-numbered gears, and the other manages the even-numbered gears. Essentially it is a manual transmission, that is controlled by a computer. This leads some experts to believe that it can provide a 10% increase in fuel efficiency versus traditional 5- speed automatic transmission; Interesting!
The Ioniq also boasts 57 mpg in the city and 59 mpg on the highway. I like those numbers! So what about safety? How about dual front airbags, dual side airbags, overhead airbags, and KNEE airbags! Safe to say, you will be surrounded in the event of an accident.
Fuel efficiency, and safety aside, the Ioniq Hybrid comes with a lot of the same comfort and style features that any other vehicle would have. I would definitely give thought to any of the Hybrid Cars available If I were in the market for a new vehicle; the gas mileage alone piqued my interest!
At any rate, it would definitely be worth your time to stop by your local dealership and give a Hybrid a test drive. The knowledgeable staff at Central Avenue Hyundai would be more than happy to walk you through the car buying process. Let them start by taking one of these beauties for a test drive, then go over the financing options with you!
