Hey, y’all! I wanted to talk with you all a little bit about this book I have been reading over the course of the last couple of weeks. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you may have seen me posting daily about what I have been doing to assist in increasing my traffic. Well, the daily posts are actually daily workbook ideas for the new book from Russell Brunson, Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers.

increasing my traffic

One of the hardest things I have experienced with my blog over the last few years is getting the traffic I need to make the money I desire. In the beginning, I was doing tons of reviews, that was my “niche” but it was everybody’s niche, and it wasn’t big on making money. Giveaways brought in some traffic, but most of them only stuck around long enough for the giveaway. I wanted something concrete and followers/readers that stuck around for the long haul.

So, I narrowed down my niche to something that was important to me; parenting. Yes, there are tons of parenting blogs out there, that’s for sure. However, mine focuses on parenting autism and homeschooling autism. All I needed was traffic from those that were interested in what I had to say or are going through something similar. The traffic trickles in, but I want a flood, which is why I am so thankful for Traffic Secrets.

In this book, Russell Brunson reveals the classic and foundational direct marketing techniques that will allow you to be at the front of new trends and see opportunities that are invisible to everyone else. Russell can share how to master evergreen traffic strategies in order to fill your website and funnels with your dream customers. This is exactly what I have been looking for! Evergreen traffic; I want readers to keep coming back!

So, I started the Traffic Secrets 30-day challenge (that’s the stuff you have been seeing on Twitter and Facebook). By completing the 30-day challenge, I will learn key strategies to increase my site traffic. I have faith in this program because Russell Brunson is a Best-Selling Author & CEO of $100M software company ClickFunnels. He has built a following of over a million entrepreneurs, sold hundreds of thousands of copies of his books, and popularized the concept of sales funnels. In 2014, Russell and partner Todd Dickerson launched ClickFunnels, which became the fastest-growing non-venture backed software company in the world. In other words, he knows what he is talking about!

So, what exactly am I doing to assist in increasing my traffic? Well, let’s talk about today’s “assignment”. I am on day 24 of the 30-day challenge, and my assignment was to figure out how I was going to elevate myself in a group of like-minded people. What am I going to do to stand out, and make people want to read what I have to say? Well, I will be working on that but will remain true to my homeschooling and Autism discussions.

I have learned over the course of the last few weeks, that utilizing social media can give me the upper hand. Most people use social media in one form or another, so using it to drive traffic to my blog, can be very beneficial.

Most recently I took a look at identifying my dream 100; that is, those 100 sites that already attract my dream customer or reader. What are they doing to attract those readers, and what I can do attract them myself. This video from Russell Brunson goes into more detail about what discovering your Dream 100 can do, and how it can help in increasing my traffic.

So there you have, this is what I am working on to increase my traffic. I will continue on with the 30-day challenge and will repeat as many times as is necessary to achieve the traffic I desire.
