It’s time to stop being afraid of mental health, and instead, take the time to understand it better. There are too many people out there that don’t speak about mental health because it’s not something that can be seen, and therefore they choose to pretend that it’s not real. But it is real, and instead of being afraid of mental health, it’s time to work towards moving forward, creating a safe space for everyone. Think about it this way: if you break a bone, you would go to the doctor, right? Well, the same thing is happening in your mind, you just can’t see the issue, but you’re hurt. The final step is to start to heal. The help that you are getting for yourself, will help you begin to heal, but there are other things that you can do as well. You have to learn to heal because you want to, not simply because you think you have to or this is not going to work. Healing is a process in itself, and one that might be uncomfortable in the beginning, but eventually will work out to be the best thing you’ve ever done.
