Lemon and Peppermint 100% Pure & Natural Essential Oil Review

Essential Oils have made a name for themselves, in households across the world. They are good for a variety of ailments, and come in various scents. I was fortunate enough to get the chance to review two of the essential oils from the Pure Body Naturals line, and loved them. I hope to get my hands on a few more, so I can make different blends.

The first one I want to tell you about is the Lemon Oil.

The scent of this oil is very strong when it is concentrated, enough to make your eyes water, so please handle with care.

It does however, have a very clean and crisp scent, which makes it perfect for using as a cleaning agent. I actually mixed some with some baking soda, and peroxide, and let it sit on some stubborn stains that were on my counter top, and not only did the stain completely disappear, but my kitchen smelled amazing for days!

I also made a great foot scrub with this oil. You can locate the recipe at the end of this post.

The other one I wanted to tell you about, is the Peppermint Oil.

This scent is just as awesome as the Lemon Oil, and very strong in its undiluted form.

I used this one a lot during the holidays, as a simple room freshener. I placed some on a few cotton balls, and placed them around the room, and my house smelled like candy canes during the Christmas holiday.

I have also read that peppermint is the natural enemy of spiders, which is great because spiders are the natural enemy of me!

Just mix some peppermint oil with a little water, and a drop of dish soap, then spray along the window sills and door frames, to keep those 8 legged monsters at bay!

Now for the foot scrub recipe:

Lemon Sugar Scrub Recipe:

2 cups Granulated White Sugar
1/3 to 1/4 cup of Almond or Coconut Oil
3-4 drops of Lemon Essential Oil
I used coconut oil, simply because I love what it does for my skin, but you can use whatever you have on hand. *Recipe credit goes to Amy over at The Idea Room*

To try any of these tips or recipes, you can get both the Lemon Oil, and the Peppermint Oil, on Amazon. The Lemon Oil is $17.95, and the Peppermint Oil is $19.95.
