Muscle Car Love; For some of us, it never left

Aww the muscle car, for some of us just the thought is enough to get our blood pumping. The rumble of the engine when you turn it over; the sound of the pipes when you step on the gas; the speed when you release the clutch and punch it…its enough to send a shiver down your spine.

American Muscle has been the love of many a car guy (and gal) over the years. There is no shortage of healthy competition to determine just which car holds the rights to the GOAT, either.

Now, it is no secret that I am a Mustang mama, through and through. My husband and I have supped up our fair share of beasts; still, I am never one to shy away from my honest opinion, and I would be lying if said that there isn’t another car out there that has caught my eye.

Y’all, The 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon has got to be the meanest muscle car in production today, coming in ahead of the Challenger Hellcat. This vehicle SCREAMS muscle, and it can back it up. I’m talking 6.2L V8, 840 HP, and a  6-speed manual transmission. This car was built for racing, and it will deliver. However, that also means that it’s probably not going to be the best option for a family vehicle.

That doesn’t mean you have to give up on owning a muscle car, though. You still have the option of the Challenger Hellcat. You still get the 6.2L V8 and 707HP, and you still get the 6-speed manual transmission. Still too much power? Don’t fret, you can still get the muscle look without the breakneck speed.

The Challenger SXT Plus has a 3.6-Liter V6 24-Valve VVT Engine and a TorqueFlite® 8-Speed Automatic RWD Transmission. In addition, it comes with front, side, and curtain airbags. Plus, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) And Roll Stability Control (RSC).

You don’t have to give up on owning a muscle car, just head into your local Dodge dealership and ask to check out the Challenger. If they are anything like Trinity Dodge, they will be waiting with the keys!
