My Experience with ZALA’s Clip-in Hair Extensions

Even though I’m busy homeschooling three kids, I make it a point to take care of myself too. This includes having some “me” time to regroup and recharge. I might splurge on a massage, buy a new lipstick, dine in my favorite restaurant, or get a haircut.

About a couple of months ago, I looked in the mirror and thought it was time to do something new with my hair. Mind you, I was already happy with how my hair looked but thought it could use a revamp. Also, I wanted to add more volume to my hair since it was a bit on the thin side.

So I searched online and found out there were a lot of retailers that offer clip hair extensions. I came across a store called ZALA. What drew me to ZALA is that there were a lot of favorable reviews, and their site was professional and tastefully made. There were plenty of hair extensions to choose from on the site.

For instance, you can choose clip-ins if you prefer convenience above all, or you can go for tape extensions if you prefer a semi-permanent option. There are also halo extensions if you want them to sit on top of your head (similar to a headband), and ponytail extensions if you like wearing your hair up. All of these, and so much more, are available on the ZALA website.

Ordering, Shade Matching, and Shipping

I found the site easy to navigate but noticed that there were a lot of shades to choose from. I was confused at first, but then I saw that they had a color matching service where you can fill out a form and upload photos of your real-life hair.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got a response from them in just a matter of minutes. A staff member got in touch and recommended the best ZALA hair extensions for my hair color. I was impressed by this level of personalized customer service!

With the store’s help, I was able to narrow down my shade choice to Caramel #10, which is the perfect shade for anyone who is in-between brown and blonde colors. After checking out, I promptly forgot about my ZALA order because I was too busy running errands. Imagine my surprise when I received a package from them in less than a week!

The ZALA Hair Extensions

ZALA hair extensions may seem a bit expensive when compared to synthetic ones, but for me, they’re worth every penny. Once you see and touch them, you’ll know they are made from real Remy human hair. With that in mind, the price is actually reasonable considering the quality of hair you’ll be getting.

At first, I was expecting that it would be a bit of a hassle to apply these extensions, but I was so happy to be proven wrong! Since I bought clip-ins, they’re very easy to apply and remove. The shade I received was also the perfect match for my hair color.

Another great thing about these extensions is that I can style them exactly as I would my own hair. I just need to apply heat protectant spray on my hair before using my wand or curler, then choose the low/medium temperature settings to extend the life of these extensions.

Some Final Thoughts

I made sure to wait for at least two months before posting a review of these extensions to see how they perform over time. The good news is that they still look and feel as good as they did when I first started wearing them!

They’re also pretty low maintenance. I only have to wash them every month using a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Unlike real hair, the extensions can’t produce natural oils, so I make it a point to deep condition every other week to prevent dryness. I also use a brush designed for hair extensions to remove all the knots and tangles.

Overall, I have found my experience with ZALA hair extensions to be very enjoyable. ZALA has a repeat customer in me; in fact, I’m already planning to buy the tape-in extensions next. I would recommend ZALA extensions to anyone looking to add volume and length to their hair.
