Organic Beauty, with Scorpio Beauty by Andrea Montoya

I am a huge fan of homemade products…I like that they use limited ingredients, all of which can be pronounced, and that in making and selling these homemade products, someone is taking charge of their future.

One of my favorite lines, happens to be made by a friend from high school, and is called Scorpio Beauty. Andrea, is the creator of this line, and has but a lot of time, and effort, into creating some amazing products. Each item is made with organic products, and ingredients so safe, you could eat it if you wanted to!

I am thrilled to be able to tell you about three of Andrea’s newest products, and I think they would make GREAT gifts!

The Coconut Lime Body Scrub, is AMAZING!! Made with Coconut Oil, Organic Sugar, and Lime Essential Oil, this body scrub will make your skin super soft! I used it just before shaving my legs, and I have never had a closer shave! The smell reminds you of a Margarita, and you can’t go wrong with that! I scooped just a bit out, lightly massaged my legs, and the sugar exfoliated my skin, while the oils created a moisture barrier. The sugar melted in the heat of the water, and I was left with super soft, smooth, and exfoliated legs!
The Cocoa Latte Whipped Body Butter, is everything that I expect from a body butter…thick, but creamy, and super moisturizing, This body butter is made with both light and dark cocoa butter, Shea butter, Coconut Oil, and Coffee Oil, which gives it an amazing chocolaty coffee scent. I used it after by bath, and while it is very thick, is spread easily, and absorbs quickly, leaving you with soft moisturized skin.
The Miracle Healing Salve, is one of my favorite products. Made with Rosemary, Lavender, and Peppermint Essential Oils, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, and Beeswax, this salve is great for everything from super dry feet, dry hands, elbows and knees. I use it on my feet, just before putting on thick socks, and it works to soften my feet, while I sleep.
Now, the exact recipes for these products are still a work in progress, but so far, I think Andrea is spot on, in her attempt to create amazing products. With so many of today’s products having unrecognizable ingredients, ingredients you can even pronounce, and ingredients that do mare harm than good, isn’t it about time we start using the products that are good for us?
