Outside the Box Wedding Gifts

Planning a wedding takes a lot of time and effort, so anytime you can make it a little bit easier on the bride and groom, it is best to do so. Whether this means taking on some of the last-minute details so that the bride and groom can focus on getting ready for the wedding, or getting them wedding gifts that will not only make the day even more memorable but will get them started on the right path.

The first gift is pretty self-explanatory and will help them remember their big day and all the people that shared it with them. Unique wedding guest books are all the rage these days, with people wanting something that they can display in their homes to commemorate their big day. With ideas such as puzzle pieces that the guest sign, to a shadow box that guests drop signed leaves into, these guest books become a piece of art in the new couple’s home.

One great gift to get for the new couple, and one that is completely out of the box, is a lawyer…no, not that kind! Getting a lawyer that deals in real estate can help with their first house, a Wills and Trust lawyer can help them create a will, something that becomes even more necessary if they choose to have kids later. It may seem like an odd gift, but I would love to be able to see a professional without having to spend the money to do so…a gift of a lawyer would have been a dream come true, especially after the debacle of our first home. Goulart Legal has attorneys that can help cover the bases for the new couple.

When it comes to thinking of great gifts for the happy couple, don’t forget that they are also still individuals…buying them individual gifts that cater to their own likes is always a good idea. Now I am not talking about buying completely odd gifts…don’t go off buying air lift air bags for the groom, just because he works with heavy equipment, use some discretion here folks!. However, if he is a mechanic or a motorcycle junkie, getting him a personalized gift that caters to that hobby is a great idea. This goes for the bride as well…don’t buy things completely off the wall, but think of her own hobbies instead.

Wedding gifts should be practical but speak from the heart. These are gifts that this couple should hope to use for years to come…normally they have a registry with the items they truly want, and yes, it is important to browse that FIRST, and if you want to get them something in addition to something on their registry, that is probably the safest idea. However, don’t underestimate the power of a heartfelt gift, especially if is useful or speaks to their individuality.
