When you are planning a home build, there are so many things to think about. You are, after all, building from the foundation, up! Some of the decisions will be about the necessities like the layout, foundation, and actual build. Some of them are the fun things, like interior decorating…cabinets, appliances, and all the little fun things that make a build uniquely yours.
Now, it is easy to get online and look at ideas when it comes to planning a home build, and with the right contractor, things will go smoothly. I know for my family, we love to DIY things, so while we might have a company BUILD our home, installing everything else would be fun for us. So we might visit places like Home Depot or Lowes. However, if you want to leave everything up to the professionals, then you need to find the right people for the job!
One major component of having a home built is going to be the plumbing, cooling, and heating installation. This is most definitely a job for the professionals (unless, of course, you are married to one!) Finding a great company, such as St. John Plumbing, will make all the difference. Plus, it will help make sure there are no unnecessary hiccups along the way.
Another great idea is to find a good cabinetry company. You are going to be putting in ample amounts of storage space, in the form of kitchen cabinets, and bathroom cabinets. Custom cabinetry is just so much better than builder grade, albeit a bit more expensive. Eluma Interiors is one such company, and they provide some of the best custom kitchens and fine cabinetry.
Speaking of kitchen cabinets, the kitchen is my favorite spot in the entire house, which means that when my husand and I finally do have a house built, I will be focusing a lot of my attention on the kitchen design itself. You can get more ideas, and learn more about kitchen design by doing simple serached online. I love Pinterest for ideas, and have an entire board dedicated to my dream kitchen!
I would love a butler’s pantry, a large center island, a built in coffee bar, a farmhouse sink, and white or grey cabinetry with granite countertops! Have you ever stopped to think about your dream kitchen? I do all the time, and while some ideas change over the years, most stays the same. The kitchen also needs to be big enough for everyone to gather in…it is, after all, the heart of any home, but especially mine.
Our best memories ar made in the kitchen, so it makes sense to make the kitchen special! If you could build a dream house, what would it look like? Where would it be? Mine of course, would be on some land in Colorado, with the beautiful mountains as a backdrop, but Colorado has always been my happy place, so that shouldn’t have been hard to guess.
I would love to know more about make would make your home uniquely YOURS…ound off in the comments, tell me you dream home, your dream place to put down roots, and what your favorite part of the home is!
