Science Made Easy With College Prep’s Self-paced Online Homeschool Science Classes And Labs

As a homeschool mom, I am constantly on the lookout for new and exciting ways to keep my kids engaged in the subject we are studying. There are lots of online programs out there that help with various subjects, but so far my favorite has to be the self-paced online homeschool science classes and labs.

Because my kids are in different grade levels, I had to find something that would work for both of them, and because these are self-paced, they work best for how we run our homeschool days.

My son, who is 13 and technically in the 8th grade, can study on his own, or he can join my 9-year-old who is in the 4th grade, and they can study together. More often than not, they study together, and this works out great because my son has Autism, and has never been on the same level as his peers, though he is making leaps and bounds now that he is homeschooled.

Learning all about the Skeletal System

We have explored several Greg Landry College Prep Science courses, and I love the way they are laid out. Over the course of the last few weeks, my kids and I have had the chance to sit down and delve deep into the Young Scientist Anatomy & Physiology class, and we are all super impressed with the course.

Greg took this course and broke it down into sections that make it easier for the kids to learn and retain information. I sat in with the kids while they took their Skeletal System 1 class, and I was very pleased with what I saw. The presentation was done in a way where you could clearly see what Professor Landry was discussing, and I liked that he took his time with each section. When discussing the class with my kids later, I was impressed that they were able to give me specific names of certain parts of the skeletal system!

The Young Scientist Anatomy & Physiology course is broken down into 13 classes, with the first few classes going over note-taking, studying, and test-taking. I also really appreciated that there was a class intro for students AND parents, so you could get a feel for what to expect.

I am looking forward to having my kids complete this course, and I love that they are getting the credits they need for this course, in a way that allows them to work at their own pace. I highly suggest checking out the self-paced online homeschool science classes and labs from Greg Landry!
