Ustyme – Video Calling/Reader/Game Platform Review
Have you ever wanted a way for your kids to interact with someone that lives far away? Like a grandparent, or a member of the Armed Forces?
Ustyme is the answer…
“Ustyme is a free video call app, available for iPad and PC / laptop via Chrome, that gives families and friends the opportunity to meaningfully engage with each other and build deeper connections.”

With this app, which available on both iPad and iPhone, as well as on Chrome, your kids can read a book, or play a game with a grandparent that lives in another state, or with a parent who is away serving our Country.
There are so many books and games available on this app, as you can tell from the picture above, which is a screenshot of my own dashboard, there is so much fun to be had. Plus, you have the ability to invite anyone to the fun, just by sending them an email from your dashboard.
This is great for divorced parents as well, now there is no reason why mom or dad can’t continue to read that bedtime story every night, or get in a checkers game after school. This app has the ability to keep the family dynamic in tact, even when mom and dad aren’t in the same house.
I have used this app a few times, but am even more excited for this weekend, because for the first time, my dad who lives in Colorado, will get to read a story and play a game with my kids who live in Texas. My dad has never actually had the chance to meet my kids, but now they can still build that precious bond that they need.
I think everyone should get this app, and even if you don’t have an Apple device, make sure you get it for Chrome on your Android! (An Android app will be coming soon!)
